The Tenere 700's water pump sits exposed. One hard hit from a rock or debris can crack the housing, damage the coolant pipe junction, and leave you stranded with a repair bill that hurts. The AltRider Water Pump Guard is designed to prevent that.

It mounts to three solid points and covers both the water pump housing and the coolant pipe junction — the two areas most at risk. The guard stands off from the housing by a few millimeters, keeping a close fit without pressing into the pump on impact.

The one-piece billet aluminum construction is the key design decision. Other guards use long bolts and spacers that create leverage points — places where force concentrates and parts fail. This guard eliminates those points entirely. It is also compatible with the Tenere 700 World Raid model.

Easy install, feels like it will protect the vulnerable water pump!

Beautifully engineered and manufactured, which is why I choose AltRider for critical parts. Expensive, yes, but consider that it appears to be billet aluminum which should be absolutely indestructible.

Easy install, though the video mentions three bolts of different lengths, mine were all the same length. They went in no problem on my 2026.

Big pros are that the guard stands off from the pump with spacers, and does not interfere with the rear brake at all.

Super stout guard - and complete with good hardware. I like how it covers the full pump and intake and exit hoses. Easy install and great video instructions.
